Avondale Middle School reports significant improvement in student achievement and behavior

In a recent meeting of the House Education Committee in Michigan, educators from Avondale Middle School shared impressive results from their new cell phone pouch policy, highlighting significant improvements in both academic performance and student behavior. The initiative, aimed at reducing distractions and fostering a more focused learning environment, has led to a remarkable transformation in the school’s atmosphere.

The principal reported that since implementing the pouches, the school’s overall academic index surged from 50.89 to 73, marking a 20-point increase. Additionally, the growth index improved from 55 to 76, and the school quality index rose from 51 to 81.
