Kelly Lolly joined the police force on March 30, 1998, and throughout his career, he wore many hats. From serving as a lead homicide investigator to a juvenile officer and evidence technician, Lolly's contributions were vast and impactful. His commitment extended beyond the village, as he was an active member of the DuPage County Major Crimes Task Force, tackling serious felonies alongside other jurisdictions.

Subscribe for Free In August 2019, Lolly was promoted to sergeant, where he took on the role of patrol sergeant and supervised the department's evidence technician program. His dedication to law enforcement was further solidified when he graduated from the prestigious Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command in January 2021. Over the years, Lolly received numerous commendations for his exemplary service, including the Chief's Award of Merit for his diligent work on a homicide investigation.
As the resolution was read, the board members expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Lolly's unwavering dedication and the positive impact he had on the community. Trustee Guthrie, along with others, voiced their support for the motion, ensuring that Lolly's legacy would be remembered fondly.
