North Ogden City prepares for Cherry Days and aquatic center updates

The North Ogden City Council meeting on March 25, 2025, highlighted several key updates regarding community programs and capital projects. The meeting began with updates from Christina, who reported on the successful completion of the American Red Cross lifeguard course, where 19 students passed after undergoing over 35 hours of training. Additionally, four students earned their Lifeguard Instructor certification.

The Orton Park playground is being replaced, and plans for a new water feature at the aquatic center are set for installation after the summer season.

As Cherry Days approaches, the council outlined a schedule of events, including a car show, a luau, and a rodeo, with additional activities planned throughout the week. The council is working to ensure a successful festival, with ongoing efforts to secure vendors and permits for various events.
