Gates Chili Continuing Education expands offerings with record community attendance

The Gates Chili Board of Education convened on April 22, 2025, to discuss various initiatives and updates that reflect the district's commitment to community engagement and educational support. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration within the BOCES network and showcased the success of continuing education programs.

A key discussion point was the recent BOCES 2 annual meeting, where board members learned about the budget and initiatives that support students across the region. Shafalo also discussed the district's summer programs, which are set to open registration on June 1. These programs, including kids' summer camps and swim lessons, have proven to be highly popular among families in the area. Additionally, the driver's education program reported significant participation, with 61 students completing the course last year, further demonstrating the district's commitment to providing essential life skills to its students.
