Snoqualmie welcomed its newest firefighter, Juan Oseguera, during a badge-pinning ceremony at the recent city council meeting. Fire Chief Bailey introduced Oseguera, highlighting his impressive background, which includes 12 years of firefighting experience, service in the U.S. Coast Guard, and a career as an electrician. Oseguera, who grew up in a Spanish-speaking household, expressed enthusiasm for joining the Snoqualmie Fire Department, citing the supportive environment he experienced during his ride-along.

In addition to the firefighter ceremony, the council confirmed Mona Davis as the new Community Development Economic Development Director. Davis brings over 25 years of experience in community planning and development, having worked with various counties and cities in Western Washington. Her extensive background includes a previous role as a community development director for a nearby city, and she is an active member of professional planning associations.

These appointments reflect Snoqualmie's commitment to enhancing public safety and community development, ensuring that the city is well-equipped to meet the needs of its residents.
