Commission approves Beer Creek Brewing and Culinary Cocktails liquor licenses in Santa Fe

Dominic Cisneros, the building and development services supervisor, presented the case, highlighting that the brewery's activities are considered incidental to its restaurant operations. The property is zoned for commercial neighborhood use, and the brewery is compliant with local zoning regulations, being situated over 1,000 feet from the nearest church and school.

After a brief discussion, the commissioners moved to approve the license, with no public opposition noted. The motion passed unanimously, signaling a positive step for the local brewing scene.

Next on the agenda was Culinary Cocktails LLC, which sought approval for a craft distillery liquor license at 20 Bisbee Court. This application marked a new venture for the company, which plans to produce and bottle spirits for the New Mexico market without a tasting room at the site. The property is zoned as an employment center, allowing for such operations under the sustainable land development code. Similar to the previous application, the distillery is also located well beyond the required distance from schools and churches, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Cisneros reiterated that the activities associated with the distillery would be incidental to its primary use as a warehouse and storage facility. With no objections raised during the meeting, the board expressed support for the craft distillery, paving the way for Culinary Cocktails to contribute to the local economy.
