One of the key initiatives discussed was the partnership with Oakland 80, which has introduced career navigators to support high school juniors and seniors. Additionally, eighth graders are visiting CTE classrooms to better understand their options as they prepare for high school.

The implementation of the EL Skills Block and the Wit & Wisdom curriculum has led to improved foundational readiness in second and third graders. Notably, there has been a 34 percentile rank increase in conditional growth on the NWEA assessments from fall to winter, indicating that students are making significant progress.
The high school has also introduced six new English Language Arts courses designed to be more engaging and relevant, receiving positive feedback from students. The district is committed to continuous improvement, with plans to recommend new instructional resources for middle and high school mathematics in the coming months.
