Cumberland County organizations support families amid EBT card scam crisis

Cumberland County officials are taking significant steps to address transportation challenges for families in need, particularly those utilizing the Cumberland Family Shelter. During a recent government meeting, discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring children can access education despite their housing situations. The county is working on a new transit initiative aimed at improving transportation options for families, which has been a major barrier for many seeking shelter services.

Executive Director of the World Development Corporation, which oversees the Cumberland Family Shelter, emphasized the collaboration with local school districts to facilitate smooth transitions for children.
