Waynesboro residents oppose proposed tax hike amid rising assessments and construction boom

Dawn Argenbright, a retired educator, urged the council to consider the long-term affordability of Waynesboro, drawing comparisons to the escalating housing costs in nearby Charlottesville. She advocated for a more measured approach to budgeting, suggesting that the city should strive to provide "more with less" to maintain its appeal as an affordable community.
