Cowlitz County is set to enhance its crisis intervention services with the introduction of a streamlined system centered around the new 988 hotline. If an in-person response is necessary, the hotline will connect callers to a regional crisis line, which can dispatch local mobile crisis teams to the scene. Key organizations involved in this initiative include Columbia Wellness, Cascade Community Healthcare, Olympic Health and Recovery Services, and Willapa Behavioral Health, all of which will provide on-the-ground support across various counties. These teams are equipped to respond quickly and offer comprehensive wraparound services, including certified peer support.
