Medina County Recorder's Office reports steady e-filing growth and potential housing fund windfall

The Medina County Recorder's Office is experiencing a steady performance amid economic fluctuations, with electronic filings making up 65% of recorded documents. In the first quarter of 2025, the office recorded 3,476 e-documents, surpassing last year's figures by 500, contributing to increased revenue.

A significant highlight from the meeting was the discussion on the Ohio Housing Trust Fund. A legislative change is set to allow funds that previously went to Columbus to remain in Medina County, potentially transforming local housing services. In 2022, the county contributed over $847,000 to the fund, with returns historically falling short of expectations.
