Lawndale School District appoints Luis Diaz as new Director of Fiscal Services

In a pivotal meeting held on May 2, 2025, the Lawndale Elementary School District Board welcomed Luis Diaz as the new Director of Fiscal Services, marking a significant step in the district's leadership. Diaz, who has spent the past eight years within the district, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and shared his commitment to maintaining a fiscally conservative approach while ensuring high operational standards.

As he took the podium, Diaz reflected on his journey from accounting coordinator to senior budget accounting coordinator, emphasizing the growth he has experienced at Lawndale. "I truly couldn't have imagined being a part of another organization where I would have thrived with such growth and success," he stated, highlighting the supportive environment of the district.

The board unanimously approved Diaz's appointment, with Trustee Rudolph and Trustee Morales leading the motion.
