Northampton residents urge council to support educational funding tools

During the recent Northampton City Council meeting, community members voiced their concerns and support for various issues impacting the city. Ace Tayloe, a resident from Ward 3, advocated for the approval of this chapter, emphasizing its potential to provide flexibility and creativity in addressing the needs of the community. Bernhard, who has lived in Northampton for 15 years, pointed out the disconnect between the city’s financial decisions and the pressing issues faced by residents, such as crumbling infrastructure, underfunded schools, and homelessness. She called for a reevaluation of priorities, urging the council to focus on the needs of the community rather than supporting entities that contribute to violence and inequality.
