The Madison County Schools held the 2025 Sparkman High School Senior Awards Day on May 3, 2025, celebrating the academic achievements of its students. The event highlighted the accomplishments of students in standardized testing and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
The meeting commenced with an overview of the ACT results from 2024, where 1,375,000 students across the United States participated, achieving an average composite score of 19.4 out of 36. Students who scored 34 or higher were acknowledged for placing in the top 1% nationally. Among them, Ethan Guess was recognized for achieving a perfect score of 36, a notable accomplishment that drew applause from attendees.
Following the ACT recognition, the focus shifted to the Advanced Placement Scholars. Students who completed six or more AP courses were called to stand and be recognized. The list included names such as Keandre Aaron, Matthew Graham, and Andrea Lee, among others. The ceremony continued to honor students who completed seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, and even twelve AP courses, showcasing the academic rigor and commitment of Sparkman High School students.
The pinnacle of the AP recognition was Todd Dreifert, who completed an impressive fifteen AP courses, underscoring the exceptional academic environment at Sparkman High School.
The event concluded with a transition to special guests, who were invited to address the students and attendees, further celebrating the achievements of the graduating class.
