With a substantial donation of nearly $200,000 from the Joyce Wintell Estate, the committee was able to incorporate features that ensure inclusivity, including rubberized surfacing that will make the area accessible for all children.
As the meeting progressed, committee members unveiled a flyover presentation of the proposed playground design, showcasing exciting elements like a zip line that has already captured the imagination of students. The design process involved multiple iterations, with feedback from various stakeholders shaping the final proposal. “After about 13 iterations, we’re here and happy to put forward a design that we believe will serve our community well,” one member stated.
