West Palm Beach hosts 5 6 1 music festival and Vintage Vibes celebration

The City of West Palm Beach hosted two vibrant festivals on May 6, 2025, bringing music and art to the downtown waterfront. The 561 Music Festival, previously held at a smaller venue, showcased an eclectic mix of 20 local bands performing on two stages at the Meyer Amphitheatre. Surrounding the stages, vendors offered a diverse array of clothing, jewelry, and art, including large prints and children's books authored by NFL player Bridal Bryant. The festival's organizer, a passionate music lover, emphasized the importance of promoting local talent through his podcast and the festival itself, especially after the cancellation of Sunfest this year.

In addition to the 561 Music Festival, the Vintage Vibes festival, powered by Love the Palm Beaches in collaboration with the City and the Downtown Development Authority, featured an array of 1980s tribute bands, including Rubik's. Attendees enjoyed vintage clothing and jewelry, a fully stocked arcade with classic games like Pac-Man and Frogger, and a mini roller rink. The festival also provided opportunities for eighties-themed photo ops, arts and crafts, and a lineup of classic cars and food trucks along Flagler Drive.

Both festivals attracted a diverse crowd, celebrating music, art, and community spirit. The success of these events suggests they may become a staple for the waterfront, promising more opportunities for local artists and vendors in the future.
