Williamston Community Schools board hires Samantha Miller as special education teacher

The Williamston Board of Education made significant strides in enhancing its teaching staff during its regular meeting on May 5, 2025, with the approval of two key hires.

First on the agenda was the enthusiastic recommendation for Mrs. Samantha Miller to join Williamston Middle School as a special education teacher for the upcoming school year. With a strong background in differentiated instruction and a proven ability to support diverse learners, Miller's experience dates back to her initial role at the same school in 2015. After a stint in Ohio as an intervention specialist, she returns with a reputation for fostering growth within special education and demonstrating exceptional patience and adaptability. The board unanimously approved her hiring, marking a promising addition to the school's faculty.

In addition to Miller, the board also approved the hiring of Maya Boyse as a counselor, contingent upon her completing her degree and state certification exam. Boyse's introduction will take place in August, ensuring a smooth transition into her new role.
