Dysart district partners with Dignity Health for free athlete physicals at Valley Vista

The Dysart Governing Board meeting on May 5, 2025, highlighted two significant initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being and celebrating academic achievements.

One of the key announcements was the collaboration between Dysart School District and Dignity Health to provide free physicals for student athletes. Scheduled for May 17 at Valley Vista High School, this initiative aims to ensure that all participating athletes are medically cleared for the upcoming sports season. Currently, 354 athletes have signed up for this valuable service, which will be staffed by qualified medical professionals at no cost to families. This effort not only promotes health and safety among students but also encourages greater participation in athletics.

In addition to health initiatives, the meeting also addressed the upcoming graduation ceremonies for the district's high school seniors. The ceremonies will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena, a new venue that promises to enhance the graduation experience. Families from Willow Canyon, Dysart High School, Valley Vista, and Shadow Ridge will gather on May 17 at staggered times throughout the day to celebrate their graduates. The district expressed excitement about the ceremonies, emphasizing the hard work of schools in organizing a memorable event for students and their families.
