The City of College Place, WA, held a government meeting on May 6, 2025, to discuss various ongoing and upcoming development projects within the community. The meeting focused on several key projects that are poised to enhance the local infrastructure and housing landscape.

The developers have acquired a new property for senior assisted housing, although plans have yet to be submitted. The meeting noted that the developers have a successful track record in similar projects in Post Falls.
Further discussions included Project Bullseye and OPH, which are tied to the roundabout project, and Project Y, which is contingent on the sale of a site in Spokane to facilitate cash flow. Project Smile is currently conducting due diligence in the Martin Airfield area, while Project FM is focused on a roundabout at College Avenue, which is critical for advancing its development.
Residential projects were also highlighted, including the final plans for the remainder of Homestead in Doanes and the Northwest Residential project, which is expected to submit final plans for new apartments by summer. The Villages of Fort Walla Walla development is set to begin construction on the first two apartment buildings and a clubhouse, following successful financing efforts.
The meeting also addressed the Sermon development on Spitzenburg, where the first two apartment structures have received certificates of occupancy, with more units anticipated to be ready by next month. Lakeside College Holdings is awaiting final development memos to initiate the master plan development process for the former Craig Christianson property.
Additionally, the Villages Garrison Creek, now referred to as Mill Creek Homes, is under construction with eight building permits issued. The Deer Meadows project remains in a waiting phase for updates from the developer, while negotiations are ongoing for a development agreement at Martin Airfield.
Lastly, the meeting touched on urban growth area discussions related to Project Side, which aims to incorporate affordable housing initiatives on Wallula Avenue.
