Chandler City Council Honors Employees with Decades of Service Recognition

Chandler City Council recognized three dedicated employees during its recent study session, celebrating their significant contributions to the community.

Assistant Chief of Police Jason Sekowsky opened the ceremony by honoring Christy Swan for her ten years of service with the Chandler Police Department. Starting as a forensic scientist, Swan quickly gained respect for her meticulous work and commitment to the department. Her leadership has led to her promotion to forensic scientist supervisor, where she continues to enhance the professionalism of the forensic services section.

Next, Neighborhood Resources Director acknowledged Ricardo Diaz for his 20 years of service. A lifelong Chandler resident, Diaz has held various roles within the city, including housing and code enforcement. His strong work ethic and dedication to customer service have made him a valuable asset to the community.

Finally, Community Services Director John Sefton presented Mickey Oland with a recognition for his 30 years of service. Oland, who has played a pivotal role in the development of Chandler’s parks and public spaces, has held multiple positions within the city. His expertise in landscape architecture and ability to navigate challenges have greatly influenced the community's recreational offerings.

These recognitions highlight the city’s appreciation for long-term commitment and service, reinforcing the importance of dedicated public servants in enhancing the quality of life in Chandler.
