Yukon Public Schools is celebrating significant growth and achievements as the district continues to expand and enhance its facilities and programs. During a recent meeting, officials highlighted the construction of two new buildings at the high school, the installation of new playground equipment, and roof replacements across several schools, marking a period of substantial progress.
The district has seen a remarkable increase in student enrollment, jumping from 7,442 students to 9,509 over the past 11 years. This growth is attributed to the leadership of Dr. Simeroth and the dedication of teachers and administrators. Yukon now boasts seven elementary schools and three upper elementary schools, alongside its middle and high schools.

The district has launched a program allowing high school students to pursue an associate degree in partnership with Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Furthermore, they have transitioned to standards-based report cards for pre-K through sixth grade and established a K-12 virtual school, providing more educational choices for families.
Sports also play a vital role in the community, with a wide array of activities available, including wrestling, tennis, golf, volleyball, soccer, and football. The district's commitment to extracurricular excellence is evident, as students engage in numerous sports and academic competitions, fostering school spirit and community involvement.
