Topeka Public Schools celebrated the dedication and achievements of its English Learner (EL) staff during a recent board meeting on May 7, 2025. The highlight of the evening was a heartfelt tribute to Anita Curry, the director of EL programs, who is set to retire after 16 years of service.
Curry has played a pivotal role in supporting students who are learning English, often coming from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
