Hillsborough County Schools hosts Teacher Appreciation Week and Bucks Best Crew Awards

Brian Ford, the Buccaneers' Chief Operating Officer, announced the recipients, including Principal Alvarez from Pierce Middle School and PE teacher Selena Perez from Smith Middle School. Principal Alvarez was recognized for his unwavering commitment to his school community, while Coach Perez was celebrated for her philanthropic efforts, including managing a food pantry for families in need.

Additionally, Maryda Johnson, a long-serving administrative secretary, was honored as she prepares for retirement after 21 years of service. Her dedication and professionalism have made a lasting impact on the district, and she was praised for her extensive knowledge of school operations.
