A significant land use change was approved at the Orange County Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 6, 2025, paving the way for a new high-density student housing community. The proposal, located at 11486 Corporate Boulevard, will transform approximately 6.37 acres from office space to residential use, accommodating between 640 to 1,000 bedrooms along with essential amenities and a parking garage.
The current site, which houses a largely vacant office building, is set for demolition to make way for the new development aimed at addressing the growing housing needs of University of Central Florida (UCF) students. The area is strategically positioned with direct access to Quadrangle Boulevard and Corporate Boulevard, enhancing connectivity to the UCF campus and local commercial services.
