Carson honors Cal State Dominguez Hills athletes for championship achievements

During the City of Carson's council meeting on May 6, 2025, a significant highlight was the recognition of outstanding achievements by local student-athletes from California State University, Dominguez Hills. The council celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of both the women's and men's basketball teams, as well as the university's dance teams, emphasizing their contributions to the community and the pride they bring to Carson.

The women's basketball team was particularly lauded for their historic season, achieving a record of 36 wins and only 2 losses. They not only secured the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season and tournament titles but also competed in the national championship game.
