Mayor Debbie Wynn recommends Shiloh Baker as Tooele City Recorder following Michelle Pitt's retirement

In a heartfelt announcement during the Tooele City Council meeting, Mayor Debbie Wynn revealed the upcoming retirement of City Recorder Michelle Pitt, who has dedicated 14 years to the role. Pitt's last day at City Hall will be in July, marking the end of a significant chapter for the city.

Wynn expressed both sadness and excitement for Pitt's retirement, emphasizing the importance of this milestone in her career. "We are very excited for retirement for her because that's what we all work for," Wynn stated, highlighting the joy of moving into a new phase of life.

As Pitt prepares to step down, Mayor Wynn recommended Shiloh Baker, the current administrative assistant to the mayor, as her successor. Baker has been with Tooele City for 14 years and is known for her dedication and exceptional customer service skills. "There is no word that will describe her customer service skills," Wynn praised, noting Baker's commitment to helping residents and improving city operations.

Baker will take on the roles of city recorder, purchasing agent, and records officer, although her official swearing-in will occur on July 16, the day after Pitt's departure. Mayor Wynn acknowledged the challenge of filling Pitt's role, stating, "Someone else is going to just have to come in and do their job the way that they will do it because it will never be Shiloh."
