They announced that Room Night is scheduled for May 29, with an entrance fee of canned goods or empty bottles. Additionally, the May 1 Decision Day for seniors was celebrated with snacks, photo opportunities, and social media videos.
In sports, the spring season is progressing well, with notable performances: the baseball team stands at 7-5, softball at 10-3, tennis at 7-3, golf at 7-4, boys track at 6-0, and girls track at 5-1. The softball team was recently ranked in the top 10 in the state. Robert Carpio and Lily Criscio received the CIDC Scholar Athlete Award.
The Yearbook Club reported completion of the main book and is now finalizing sections on spring sports, prom, and the powder puff game. The Art Club is working on independent projects and plans to create a mural for Seymour's 175th celebration. The Environmental Club celebrated Earth Day with various activities and is looking to establish an outdoor focus group centered on fishing, hiking, and habitat conservation.
The Debate Club celebrated the conclusion of the 2024-2025 tournament season with a meal at a local restaurant and is preparing for the next season with a strong team of veteran seniors. The Electrathon Car Club achieved a significant victory at the CT Electron annual spring race, finishing first against 20 other high school teams, with students Peyton McDaniel and Tyler Rodriguez driving their newly manufactured race car.
Lastly, the Newspaper Club is discussing future editorial leadership and plans to publish a fourth and final issue for the school year. The meeting concluded with a sense of pride in student accomplishments and anticipation for upcoming events.
