Bixby Public Schools honors outstanding students and staff at May meeting

The recent Board of Education meeting held in Bixby on May 8, 2025, showcased a heartfelt recognition of outstanding individuals within the Bixby Public Schools community. One of the highlights was the presentation of the Spartan Spirit Board certificates, awarded to individuals who demonstrate hard work, perseverance, and empathy. Gidget Hargrove, a transportation employee, was recognized for her thoughtful gesture of creating personalized bears for her colleagues and students, embodying the spirit of community and care that the district promotes.

The meeting also honored two exceptional child nutrition employees, Rhona Munson and Jenny Reed, in light of National School Lunch Hero Day.
