School 5 student council hosts autism walkathon and local hero celebrations

The Oceanside Board of Education meeting on May 7 highlighted several community-focused initiatives that aim to enhance the school environment and foster a sense of belonging among students.

One of the standout achievements discussed was the recent autism appreciation walkathon, which successfully raised over $7,000 to support the needs of students with autism at School 5.
