In a vibrant celebration of academic achievement, the Hampton School Board gathered on May 7, 2025, to honor the remarkable graduates of the Class of 2025. The atmosphere buzzed with pride as students, families, and educators filled the room, eager to recognize the hard work and dedication of these young scholars.
The evening began with heartfelt congratulations to all graduates, followed by a special acknowledgment of the salutatorians from each high school. Jamia Ribbon from Bethel High School, with an impressive 4.48 GPA, was celebrated for her leadership roles and acceptance into nine colleges, including James Madison University. Noemi Flores, the salutatorian from Hampton High School, was recognized for her 4.5 GPA and extensive involvement in various honor societies and sports, planning to attend the University of Virginia. Kecoughtan High School's Willard Davenport, boasting a 4.59 GPA, aims to major in mechanical engineering at Old Dominion University, while Phoebus High School honored co-salutatorians Dante James and Owen Smith, both with a 4.65 GPA, for their academic and community service achievements.

Isabella Mendez from Bethel High School, graduating with a 4.55 GPA, plans to major in biology and environmental science at the University of Virginia. The Brumpert twins, Normani and Nishtha, co-valedictorians from Hampton High School, each achieved a 4.62 GPA and will attend Old Dominion University, pursuing careers in computer science and mechanical engineering, respectively. Kecoughtan's Lucy Brady, with a 4.6 GPA, will also attend the University of Virginia, while Phoebus High School's Robert "Robbie" Staton III, graduating with a 4.71 GPA, plans to study nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University.
As the evening concluded, the graduates were met with applause and cheers from their supporters, a testament to their hard work and the bright futures that lie ahead.
