Hohokam Elementary celebrates A+ designation and leadership transition

Hohokam Elementary School in Arizona is celebrating a significant milestone as it has been designated an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF). This recognition highlights the school's commitment to educational excellence and community engagement. The celebration took place during the latest episode of SUSD Spotlight, where school leaders and community members gathered to honor this achievement.

Principal Chuck Rantala, who has dedicated 12 years to leading Hohokam, reflected on his journey and the importance of this award. He expressed pride in the school's accomplishments and emphasized the collaborative efforts of the staff, students, and families that contributed to this recognition. Rantala will be passing the leadership baton to Assistant Principal Maggie Feynon, who has been with the school for 15 years.
