Keller Town Hall family campout planned for May 17 with volunteer opportunities

The Keller Parks and Recreation Board held a meeting on May 8, 2025, where community engagement and upcoming events took center stage. One of the highlights was the announcement of the Family Campout scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at Keller Town Hall. Residents are encouraged to register and participate in this family-friendly event, which will include activities like a night hike and a s'more station. In addition to the campout, the board discussed the popular Keller Summer Nights series, which will kick off in June. Concerts will be held every Thursday at 7:30 PM, followed by movies at 9 PM. Board members noted that parking could be a challenge during these events, especially on meeting nights, and encouraged attendees to arrive early or consider alternative parking options.

The meeting also included praise for recent community events, particularly the successful egg hunt that attracted between 5,000 and 6,000 participants. Board members expressed their appreciation for the staff's efforts in organizing these events, which have proven to be well-received by families in the area.
