The Cobb County Procurement Services held a bid opening meeting on May 8, 2025, to review responses for various projects, primarily related to sewer rehabilitation and transportation improvements. The meeting revealed several key bids, with notable responses from local contractors.
The first significant bid discussed was for the FY 25 interceptor sewer rehabilitation project, which had been postponed from April 24, 2025. SAK Construction LLC submitted the only response, with a total bid price of $23,061,240, including a bid bond.

Subscribe for Free Next, the meeting addressed the FY 25 Zone 1 miscellaneous sewer replacements. Three bids were received: HD Excavations and Utilities LLC at $1,109,075, Reynolds Construction LLC at $1,196,280, and K M Davis Contracting Company Inc. at $1,377,123, all of which included bid bonds.
The meeting also covered the damaged signal pole replacement project, with Reedwick LLC bidding $818,217 and Smart Road Technology LLC offering $684,960, both including bid bonds.
For countywide pavement marking projects, Tidwell Traffic Solutions submitted bids for both the northern and southern regions, with prices of $532,785.45 and $577,203.52, respectively. Each of these bids was the sole response for their respective solicitations.
In addition, the meeting included discussions on requests for proposals (RFPs) for various services. The RFP for administration services of HUD and other grant programs received responses from BlueLinx Solutions, Tigers Level Up LLC, and View Community Advisors, Inc. The RFP for a household hazardous waste amnesty day event received a single response from MXI Environmental Services LLC.
Lastly, the meeting reviewed an ITB for an annual contract for miscellaneous concrete projects at county parks, with responses from Capital Sports Construction Inc., Elk Remodeling, Inc., Integrated Construction and Nobility, Inc., and WE Contracting Company Inc.
