Avon Police Department prepares to hire new officers and acknowledges community support

During the meeting, it was announced that the Avon Police Department is making progress in its hiring process, with one new officer expected to start in the coming weeks. The council also celebrated the success of the first annual "Battle of the Badges" blood drive held in April.
