On May 8, 2025, the Lebanon Community School Corporation held its annual LHS Honors Night, celebrating the achievements of students and honoring the legacy of dedicated educators. A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Sue Furman, a beloved teacher at Lebanon Bridal School, who devoted 25 years to shaping the lives of her students. Furman’s philosophy centered on teaching students rather than subjects, emphasizing the importance of character with her classroom motto: "work hard and be nice."
In her memory, a scholarship was established for students who were accepted into a four-year college or university, had been taught by Mrs. Furman, and maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher. This year, Jared Pollock was awarded the scholarship, reflecting the lasting impact Furman had on her students.
