Lebanon High School Honors Students with Multiple Scholarships and Awards

The Lebanon Community School Corporation held its LHS Honors Night on May 8, 2025, celebrating the achievements of outstanding students and athletes. The event recognized several scholarship recipients and awards in honor of notable figures in the Lebanon community.

Among the highlights was the presentation of the Roy Wood Science Award, which honored seniors Taylor O'Brien and William Fortner. This award, named after a beloved science teacher who retired in 1994, is given to students who demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm and dedication to the study of science.

The Rick A. York Memorial Wrestling Award was presented to Seth Wilson, recognizing his hard work and commitment to the sport. This award honors the legacy of Rick A. York and his family, who have deep ties to wrestling in Lebanon.

In the realm of baseball, the Ron Ebert Baseball Scholarship awarded $1,200 each to Joseph Sussong and Bryce Nelson. This scholarship celebrates Ron Ebert's extensive involvement in local baseball, both as a player and coach, and is given to dedicated senior players who have shown commitment to the sport throughout their high school years.

The Lebanon Sports Boosters Association awarded six $1,500 scholarships to Layla Richards, Claire Bowling, Carly Adams, Jack Farrell, Caden Lark, and Tyler Meyer. These scholarships are based on athletic participation, academic performance, and community involvement.

Additionally, the Kiwanis Athletic Award was presented to Claire Bowling and Taylor O'Brien, recognizing their achievements in athletics and academics. The Outstanding Male and Female Athlete awards were given to Ally Albee, Claire Bowling, Veil Richards, Caden Lark, and Jack Farrell for their impressive accumulation of varsity letters during their high school careers.

Lastly, the Brad Wilson Memorial Scholarship, established to honor the late wrestling coach, was awarded to Seth Wilson, acknowledging his dedication to the sport and his teammates.
