Millersville University celebrated its 171st annual commencement on May 10, 2025, honoring graduates with the conferral of doctoral, master's, and undergraduate degrees. The ceremony, held at 1 p.m., was marked by a heartfelt welcome from Dr. Gail Gasbridge, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, who emphasized the significance of the occasion for students and their families.
The event began with the national anthem performed by Colin Staub, a member of the graduating class, accompanied by the Millersville University Wind Ensemble. In a gesture of respect, Dr. Gasbridge acknowledged the ancestral land of the Conestogas, Susquehannocks, Shawnee, and other native peoples, recognizing their stewardship of the land for thousands of years.
