During the Alamo Heights Independent School District (AHISD) School Board meeting on April 16, 2025, the spotlight was on the remarkable achievements of local students participating in the Odyssey of the Mind competition. Jordan expressed gratitude to the parents who supported the program and congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication. He noted that the skills developed through Odyssey of the Mind extend beyond the competition, preparing students to be thoughtful and creative leaders in their academic and personal lives.
In addition to the Odyssey of the Mind recognition, the meeting also acknowledged the achievements of the High School Spur Advance team, which received multiple awards at state and national competitions, including a second-place national runner-up title. The board's recognition of these accomplishments underscores the district's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation among its students.
