On Saturday, May 10, Millersville University celebrated its 171st annual commencement ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the graduating class of 2025. The event, held at 9 a.m., honored the achievements of students who have navigated their academic journeys, particularly during the challenges posed by the global pandemic.
Dr. Gail Gasparich, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, opened the ceremony by welcoming graduates, faculty, and guests, both in-person and virtual. She emphasized the importance of recognizing the land on which the university stands, paying tribute to the native peoples of the Lower Susquehanna River Basin, including the Conestogas and Susquehannocks, who have stewarded the land for generations.
