Palm Beach County hosts successful scholarship luncheon and upcoming housing heroes event

Palm Beach County is celebrating significant community events aimed at empowering youth and promoting housing solutions. During the recent City Commission meeting, officials highlighted the success of the 2025 Scholarship Luncheon held on May 10, which raised essential funds for local students pursuing higher education. The event was praised for its commitment to supporting the next generation.

In addition, the upcoming Housing Heroes Luncheon on May 14 was announced, recognizing local leaders who have made notable contributions to housing solutions in the area. This event, hosted by the Housing Leadership Council, aims to promote sustainable and equitable housing opportunities for all residents.

Commissioner Ward expressed gratitude for being elected to represent large cities on the Palm Beach County League of Cities board, with a swearing-in ceremony scheduled for May 28.

Looking ahead, the community is invited to the Juneteenth and World Sickle Cell Day celebration on June 14 from 4 to 8 PM at the Towne Center Amphitheater in Wellington. This free event will feature health screenings, live music, food trucks, and activities for children, fostering awareness and unity within the community.
