Wendell initiates construction on recreation center and multiple community projects

The Wendell Board Meeting held on May 12, 2025, focused on several key community development projects and updates. The meeting began with discussions on the design phase of the new recreation center, which is set to enhance local athletic facilities. The Wendell Athletic Field Complex, featuring five fields, is transitioning from design and permitting into its first year of construction.

The meeting concluded with plans to improve the park and ride lot, which was received as part of a swap for the old town hall, to meet town parking standards in the coming year.
