Eisenhower Middle School honors Tiffany Martino and Caroline Lowentad for outstanding service

The Roxbury Board of Education meeting on May 12, 2025, celebrated the achievements of outstanding educators and support staff at Eisenhower Middle School. The meeting highlighted the dedication and impact of two exceptional individuals: Tiffany Martino, named Educator of the Year, and Caroline Lowentad, recognized as Educational Support Professional of the Year.

Principal Paul Gallagher introduced Tiffany Martino, who has been a special education teacher at Eisenhower for five years. Martino is praised for her commitment to teaching core subjects while also focusing on critical life skills for her students. She leads a peer mentoring group called EMS Best Buddies, which fosters social skills and positive relationships among students. Colleagues and parents alike commended her enthusiasm and dedication, noting her efforts to create an inclusive atmosphere at school events.

Caroline Lowentad, the school counselor, was also honored for her 16 years of service. Her role includes helping seventh graders manage their schedules and navigate social challenges. Lowentad actively participates in school events and engages with families through newsletters and informational sessions. Students expressed gratitude for her support, highlighting her role in creating a stable learning environment.

The meeting underscored the importance of recognizing the hard work and commitment of educators and support staff in shaping the lives of students. The Board expressed appreciation for both Martino and Lowentad, emphasizing their significant contributions to the school community.
