Community plans tree pickup event with 43 trees scheduled for Saturday morning

The Woburn Conservation Commission has finalized plans for a tree planting initiative set to take place this Saturday at 8 AM, with the goal of enhancing local green spaces. A total of 43 trees have been meticulously counted and verified for the project, ensuring a diverse selection that will benefit the community.

During the meeting, a member detailed the careful counting process, which involved cross-checking the types of trees to confirm accuracy. This thorough approach guarantees that the trees will be loaded and unloaded by type, streamlining the planting process. The team is well-prepared, with arrangements made for the truck to arrive on schedule, and support from the Department of Public Works (DPW) to manage logistics.

To ensure a smooth operation, the team has coordinated with DPW representatives, who will assist with site management and safety measures, including the use of Jersey barriers. The community is invited to participate, with tree pickups scheduled to begin at 9 AM and concluding by 10:30 AM.
