Troy City Schools celebrates 15 retirees with 398 years of combined service

A heartfelt tribute to dedicated educators marked the recent Troy Board of Education meeting, as the district celebrated the retirement of several long-serving staff members. In total, 15 individuals were honored for their combined 398 years of service to Troy City Schools, showcasing a remarkable commitment to the community and its students.

Among the retirees was Mr. Fong, who concluded his 12-year tenure at Troy, receiving warm congratulations from colleagues. The meeting also recognized Ameri Price, who dedicated 38 years to food service, starting in April 1986 and culminating in her retirement in February. Price's journey included roles at both the high school and junior high, where she served as kitchen manager.

Linda, another retiree, began her career in 1997 as an educational aide and transitioned to an administrative assistant role in 2006, retiring after 28 years of service. Nick Braun, who served as a bus driver since 2009, will retire with 16 years of service, while Angela Clauser, an English teacher since 1992, leaves behind a legacy of 33 years at Troy Junior High.

The meeting underscored the invaluable contributions of these educators, reflecting the district's deep appreciation for their years of dedication and service to the students of Troy. As the district looks ahead, the impact of these retirees will undoubtedly be felt for years to come.
