Subscribe for Free A highlight of this year's event is the presence of ASSA Vet Charities, which will offer rabies vaccinations for just $10. With rabies cases on the rise in Cochise County, this initiative aims to ensure the safety of both pets and their owners. The event is free and open to the public, encouraging families to come out, enjoy food from local trucks, and engage with various animal-related vendors.
Steve Boyce, a long-time participant in the event, expressed his enthusiasm for the community's involvement. "It's a great place for kids and families to come and enjoy," he said, highlighting the educational opportunities available, including training demonstrations for dogs and even snakes.
In addition to the festivities, the Horsin' Around Rescue organization will be present, showcasing their mission of rescuing and rehabilitating horses. With over 200 horses rescued since its inception in 2010, the organization continues to thrive, thanks in part to community support and donations.
As the day approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be a memorable celebration of animals and community spirit. The event kicks off at 9 AM and runs until 2 PM, inviting everyone to join in the fun and support local animal welfare efforts.
