Colorado OIT mandates cybersecurity training compliance for board members

During the recent UCB Meeting held by DORA Colorado on May 13, 2025, significant updates were shared regarding cybersecurity training requirements and the ongoing sunset review of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC).

The meeting highlighted the importance of compliance with new cybersecurity training protocols mandated by the Office of Information Technology (OIT). All board and commission members are required to complete assigned training within 30 days of receiving notification. Failure to comply may result in restricted access to state systems, impacting their ability to fulfill work obligations. In addition to cybersecurity updates, the meeting addressed the sunset review process for the PUC.
