Harrisburg City School District has appointed Dr. Chris Satel as the new principal of John Harris High School, a decision that promises to bring strong leadership to the institution. With a solid educational background, Dr. Satel earned his undergraduate degree from Elizabethtown College, followed by a master’s degree from Wilkes University, and a doctorate in leadership from Millersville University. His extensive experience in education spans over two decades, including a decade spent teaching social studies and 12 years in various administrative roles at Middletown School District.

He has served as an assistant athletic director and has a notable coaching history, having led varsity basketball teams for 15 years and accumulated a total of 20 years in coaching. His leadership skills were further honed during his time as a college basketball player, where he captained his team in his final year.
