Marin Sanitary Service announces customer appreciation day and future orchestral sponsorship

The representative expressed gratitude for the council's support and shared the success of their recent Customer Appreciation Day, which saw attendance jump from 201 to 526 participants this year. The council also approved a resolution authorizing maximum rates for Marin Sanitary Service, ensuring continued support for their operations. The service has been recognized for maintaining the highest diversion rate in the state, reflecting their effective waste sorting and recycling efforts.

In addition to waste management discussions, the meeting featured a report from the Ross Property Owners Association (RPOA). Kelly Flytus, representing the RPOA, highlighted the success of the recent Winterfest event, which attracted a large turnout from both Ross and surrounding communities. She also discussed ongoing projects, including the installation of additional electrical outlets for holiday lights and the potential contribution of the RPOA towards the installation of video cameras in town to enhance safety.

Flytus raised concerns about the post office's reluctance to allow community gatherings, emphasizing the importance of the post office as a communal space. The RPOA plans to advocate for changes to encourage more community interaction at this central location.
