Superintendent finalists present vision to North Shore Scribe Board

The Northshore School District held a Superintendent Search Town Hall on May 13, 2025, featuring three finalists for the superintendent position. The event was led by students from Bothell High School, who introduced the candidates and facilitated the discussion.

The finalists included Dr. Sean Carey, currently the superintendent of the Enumclaw School District; Dr. Patrick Murphy, the superintendent of the Olympia School District; and Dr. Justin Irish, the superintendent of the Anacortes School District. Each candidate was given the opportunity to present their qualifications, respond to community questions, and share their vision for the district.

Dr. Sean Carey opened the meeting by sharing his extensive background in education, which began as a reading specialist and progressed through various roles, including elementary school principal and deputy superintendent. He emphasized his commitment to creating inclusive programs that cater to the diverse needs of students, highlighting Northshore's history of providing robust educational and extracurricular opportunities.
