Miami-Dade County is set to enhance its operational efficiency and service delivery through the integration of its newly formed department, People and Internal Operations (PIL). This initiative, discussed during the Government Efficiency & Transparency Ad Hoc Committee meeting on May 15, 2025, aims to streamline processes by combining human resources and information services, alongside the transfer of the Office of Small Business Development to Strategic Procurement.
Director Hall emphasized that the integration aligns with the mayor's 3 0 5 vision, focusing on three primary goals: improving employee efficiency, enhancing service value for residents, and fostering an inspired workforce. With a lean HR team of just 58 employees serving over 24,000 staff across 26 departments, the integration seeks to address significant challenges, including cost reduction and revenue generation.

The meeting underscored the importance of transparency and community engagement, with plans to expand idea generation initiatives to include public input.
